Academic Health Sciences Campus

A catalyst for innovation in multi-disciplinary clinical teaching and research.

The Academic Health Sciences Campus (AHSC) aims to revolutionise medical education, research, and patient care. It will offer an unparalleled environment for interprofessional and multidisciplinary learning to provide students with a comprehensive and future-proof education.

The AHSC will sit next to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, two of the newest hospitals in the UK. The Royal mainly focuses on complex planned care, while Clatterbridge provides specialised cancer care services for an area spanning two million residents.

By integrating cutting-edge technologies and embedding research, the AHSC will create a patient-centred "teach and treat" environment, with opportunities for clinical trials, research and development, and continuing professional development for NHS professionals. This will foster collaboration between university researchers, NHS clinicians, and patients.

Health Innovation Liverpool is committed to fostering dynamic partnerships with industry. Through collaboration, we aim to drive forward cutting-edge research and innovation that will translate into real-world health solutions.
